ARMONIA Project at the University of Gharyan
Harmonisation and Modernization of the Higher Education System in Libya through the Introduction of Bologna Process Principles at National and Institutional Levels
The University of Gharyan is proud to participate in the ARMONIA Project, an Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education initiative co-funded by the European Union. The project brings together Libyan higher education institutions, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Libya, and European partners to support the modernization and harmonisation of Libya's higher education system.
ARMONIA aims to support the introduction of relevant Bologna Process principles and practices at national and institutional levels. It addresses key areas of higher education development, including quality assurance, learning outcomes, academic programme development, internationalisation, mobility, recognition of qualifications, ECTS and student-centred learning.
The project adopts a collaborative and participatory approach, combining capacity building, institutional analysis, consultation, training, knowledge exchange and the development of practical tools and approaches for higher education reform.
For the University of Gharyan, ARMONIA provides an opportunity to strengthen institutional capacity, engage academic and administrative stakeholders, exchange experience with Libyan and European partners, and explore practical approaches to implementing Bologna Process principles within the University's academic environment.
